Advertising
Policy
Advertisements, in either
black and white or color, can be placed in Pomeranians in
Canada by both members and non-members of the Pomeranian Club
of Canada. If you have questions related to advertisements that
are not answered here, or if you need assistance with your ad,
please contact the Club by E-MAIL.
Please note that the Pomeranian
Club of Canada reserves the right to refuse advertising for any reason
whatsoever.
Format
of Ad Material
Ads Set-Up
by Club Volunteers
In most
cases, ads need not be submitted in camera
ready format. You may send us your photo(s) and the text for your
ad (typed please, in an email or text editor), and we'll take care of the rest. If you have
design or color preferences, these should be indicated before
work commences on your ad. We know your ad is important so we'll
do our best to please you. However, only minor changes can be
accommodated once your ad has been designed and set up. Minor changes do not
include picture changes or significant format changes.
Advertisers should bear in mind that ad prices reflect the costs of
printing only. Ads are designed and set up by volunteers who
freely donate their time to advertisers and the club without
compensation. Therefore all set-up work is entirely at the
discretion of volunteer newsletter staff.
Ads in
Camera-Ready Format
In
certain cases, the Club reserves the right to require that
material be sent in camera-ready (i.e., ready-to-print) format
such as in a high quality PDF file. This is entirely at the
Club's discretion. In such cases, all correspondence concerning
the ad will be handled by the club president (see
About the Club page for contact information)
Camera
-ready ads can be submitted
electronically by email, or on a
CD by regular letter mail directed to the Club President.
In all cases requiring the submission of print-ready material,
the advertiser assumes full
responsibility for the quality of the ad and for any errors it
may contain; it will be printed exactly as it is sent to the
club President. All correspondence (email, letter mail or
telephone) concerning the ad in such cases will be handled by
the club president.
Payment for Ads
Members of the club in good
standing with no past history of non-payment, late-payment, NSF
checks, etc. will billed for their ads at time of publication
— otherwise payment requirements
are as for non-members.
Non-member ads must be
prepaid by the ad
submission deadline in the form of a certified check, bank
draft, postal money order
or any other secure method of payment. Send payment to:

Cancellation of Ads
Once an
ad has been requested and space has been reserved, it cannot be
cancelled after the submission deadline has passed
(the second Thursday of the month preceding publication month).
If an ad is cancelled prior to the submission deadline, a $25
fee will be charged for return of any payment submitted.

Submission Deadlines
The
newsletter is published quarterly in March, June, September and
December. All advertisements must be in received by
the second Thursday of the month preceding the month of
publication, that is by the second Thursday of February, May,
August and November.
