Ways
PCOC Members Can Help With Rescue
What our
Rescue program needs the
most, at this point, is help from other members of the PCOC.
Volunteers
are need to become a rescue contact for most regions of the
country. Already, our program has received inquires from
people looking to adopt a Pomeranian, but they have been on
either side of the country. To make this work, we have to have
contacts across Canada. We are also looking for others that
would be able to volunteer fostering if needed. We will need
transportation volunteers. We will be getting in contact with
truck driving companies to see if some of them would help to
transport a little buddy when needed. Anyway you can help out
would be greatly appreciated!
We feel
that Pom Rescue is VERY important. You don't need to look any
further than the Sept/2000 CKC section. There were 305 litters
registered with the CKC and 695 individual puppy
registrations!!! Pomeranians are the seconded highest in the Toy
Group. These are just the registered ones we have NO count on
the unregistered! All of us who breed have to be prepared, to
take responsibility for the little ones we bring into the
world...You never know, it maybe a Pom that YOU bred that ends
up in a shelter. We know everyone's life is hectic and we can't
always donate a lot of time or space...but it can also be just
as simple as making a few phone calls, donating towels and
bedding!! The list can go on and on, we will never have TOO many
hands. Please help the little ones that can't speak
for themselves.
